Cub Scout Pack 261
Castle Rock, CO
Scouting since 1958
Welcome to Pack 261!
Cub Scout Pack 261, established in 1958, proudly serves scouts in Castle Rock from Kindergarten through fifth grade. We belong to the Black Feather District within the Greater Colorado Council of Scouting America and are sponsored by Ridgeline Community Church.
Den and Pack meetings usually occur on Monday evenings at 6:30 PM MST at Ridgeline Community Church, located at 555 Heritage Ave., directly across from Rock Ridge Elementary School in Castle Rock. Meetings are not held when the Douglas County School District is not in session, including during holidays, breaks, and weather-related cancellations.
Cub Scouting is where fun and adventure meet character and growth! Our program is crafted to help girls and boys from kindergarten through fifth grade grow into confident, responsible, and caring individuals. Through activities like camping, STEM, and community service, Cub Scouts build skills, make friends, and embrace the adventures ahead!
At Pack 261, we are proud that our leaders are properly trained to provide a safe, supportive environment for our Scouts. Our leaders are dedicated to mentoring Scouts while upholding the highest standards of safety and education. We actively encourage participation in regular Scout training to stay current and inspired. Many of our leaders are experienced Scouters fostering a strong foundation for the next generation of confident and capable individuals.
